Okay, so my mind now is racing a mile a minute.  In 4 days, I'm having extended TT with anchor cut, ventral hernia repair at old RNY site, adrenelectomy with tumor removal.  Can we say nervous?  Surgery and my fibromyalgia don't mix well - in the past it's taken herculean effort to get some pain control.  I'll have two different surgeons, one is talking about using the Q pump.  I'm not familiar with this and would like input from those who have used it.

Just trying to focus on, just 4 days before I lose this albatross of belly skin!

If you can get the Q pain pump that's great! I couldn't get it for my LBL but I was able to have one for my breast lift. I really wish I could have had one for my LBL too.

If you have pain issues, definitely insist on the pain pump. I can't think of any downside at all.

 Aloha-
LOVED my On Q Pain Blocker. Wanted them to just refill it on Day 5 with additional long acting local anesthetic- because of FDA regulations, they couldn't, but  mine worked great. I had it for my circumferential lower body lift and I was totally numb for 5 days.
Grab it if you can. XOXOLori

I had an extended TT and came home the same day with the Q pump (which lasted for four days) and oxycodone.  I really did have any paint just the usual problems with swelling and waiting for the blessed day when the drains were removed.  My only suggestion if you're not already is to start taking stool softeners right away!  Good luck to you.

Thanks, guys, for the responses.  On my way to the hospital - think I've got all the worry out of the way!
