Belly Button Update

I went back to the doctor for a followup today and my drains have to stay in until at least next tuesday, draining at 77 still.  My belly button has signs of life...she is now a purple/gray color with red below that first layer.  She is trying to live so the doctor will give her a change as he put it.  I will find out next week how she is doing.  Hopefully the alien babies can be removed then, I am kinda tired of them hanging around....  I will keep you posted.  All else looks great except for the massive swelling.  Boy is that unconfortable.

VAl, that's great news about your BB- hopefully she will pull through and be healthy. Drains suck but they clearly your still putting out too much fluid. It will get better with time.

Thanks for sharing your journey and pics.  I'm heading into surgery 4 days and very nervous.  Are those Q pumps attached to you and if so, how well do they work for pain control? Better than oral meds?

Hope your button hangs in there - hope I don't lose mine, but with me having multiple procedures it's anyones guess, they tell me.  I'm having an extended TT, hernia repair, adrenalectomy and adrenal tumor removal.

I do not have the Q-pain pump.  I took oral medications.  What you see in the photo are the drains that they will put in you.  Good luch with your upcoming surgery. 

I have a consultation with Dr. Hicks in two weeks.  Can you please tell me if you would recommend him...in areas of follow-up, tummy flatness, customer care, etc.
