And this is probably the cause of me not walking up right, but I feel like at the top of my leg where it meets your body, that skin is SSOO tight. This is normal i am guessing? But my question is, is there a lotion or cream I can put on that skin to "loosen" it a bit?

I hope that makes sense...

Lotion or cream cannot loosen skin - and could be contraindicated by your Dr. and potentially could be irritating to your wound early on. The skin is tight due to swelling - both due to the healing process but also you may be eating too much sodium and retaining fluid. If you think that the pulling is extreme, then call your Dr.

I had a LOT of tightness in my arms after my arm lift.  Really limited my range of motion.

By 2 months, that is almost gone.  Still a "twinge" at my furthest extension..but SO much better.  All I did was keep stretching them.  Each night in bed I'd hyperextend my arm to the point where I felt that twinge of pain.  I'd reach up over my head until I felt the twinge during the day.  Just pushing it past the point of comfort as regularly as possible.  It seems to have worked!!

Good luck!

Erica -- thanks for posting this.

I am 5 weeks post Brachioplasty and Breast Lift ---- and feel tightness in my arms -- especially in the evenings after I take a long walk.

I think that the arms are swelling a little with the exercise ---- and so I just stretch gently in the evening.  In the mornings when it is less painful, I have been doing some light weight work -- biceps and tricep work.

I see my surgeon on Jan 10th -- to make sure that everything is continuing to heal well.  He encourages me to use my arms as much as I want.
