Plastic Surgeons in Chicago/NW Suburbs (IL)
Hi-
I will be 2 years post op this January 12, 2010. I still have about 20-25 pounds to lose, but would like to start researching plastic surgeons. I am looking to get a tummy tuck and maybe breast augmentation (not sure). The thought of this surgery freaks me out a bit, but I am tired of the sagging skin.
Does anyone have any plastic surgeon recommendations / suggestions....good and bad. I would be looking for a surgeon in the Chicago / NW Suburbs (IL) area.
I appreciate all of your assistance.
Happy Holidays!

Good morning,
I live in Central Illinois but traveled to downtown Chicago to Dr. Kenneth Stein for SmartLipo, brachioplasty and breast lift (no aug.). He has a certified surgical suite in his office (saves $$$ on hospital charges). He has satellite offices (for check ups, consultations, etc) in Rockford and Naperville. Check out his website and feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Good luck with the second part of your journey.

I went through NorthShore University Health at Evanston Hospital - Dr. Michael Howard and Dr. Karol Gutkowski (they tag-teamed).
Granted, it's only 4 days out, but I'm very pleased. No real pain, just discomfort with the med regime. Incisions went a bit farther than I'd expected, but that will reduce the puffiness at the end of the incisions as I scar.
So far, so great!

Hi! Sory for the delay--I was out of town and missed your post.
I had an extended TT (anchor) and brachioplasty done 6 months ago with Dr. Lee at Northwestern in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago. He and his staff were awesome!
I will be posting pictures soon--maybe tomorrow--on my 6-month results. I had a bellybutton revision about a month ago, too, since mine healed strangely. (This was covered by insurance, also.)
Given I lost 200 pounds, I am pretty darn pleased. Still some redness, but my tummy is as tight as a drum and my arms feel great. The fact that no area on me is numb is pretty cool, too.
I have some before and early-out from PS pix and my story on my blog here on OH that you can check out in the meantime.

Hello All,
Joy thanks for posting this topic. Can you guys tell me if you were able to get this covered by insurance? If so, who is your coverage through? How did you go about getting it covered?
If not, can I ask what the pricing looks like? I want to go through the same surgery but need to know how much I will need to save up?
Thanks everyone!
