bracioplasty 9 days ago....is this a seroma, hematoma??
I just noticed today when I took a shower that just above my left elbow area is warm and more swollen then my right and it feels like fluid is in it. I put a page out to my PS but was wondering what if anyone else had this experience. BTW, I never had drains in my arms. I had a body lift, breast lift and arm lift and had 4 drainsa in my pubic area. 2 have been pulled as of thursday, december 16th and the other 2 are comin out on the 23rd. I appreciate everyone's input in advance, thank you!

Hi Alice - did you get an answer from your PS? I had my arms and a tt done on Dec 2 and also have some significant swelling and warmth in the same area but on both arms. The arms are bugging me more than the tt! I have assumed it is swelling since there were no drains there, but I will see my PS tomorrow or wed to take out the tt drain and will be asking. The elastic sleeves are so uncomfortable I haven't been wearing them much. How long are we supposed to wear them?
I saw my PS this morning and he took a needle and drained 3 tubes on my left arm and 2 on the right, however, there is a lot more in there. I go back on Thursday to have my last 2 drains removed and he said he will probably remove more then. I had ace bandages on my arms for 2 days after surgery and then they were removed. I have not had any bandages or binders on my body since 48 hours after surgery. My PS says that the binder serves no purpose after 48 hours. They cut the binder into 3 strips and I use one strip to take a shower in to hold my drains and then I put a clean dry one on after my shower to hold my drains.
Just like you, my arms have bothered me more than my breast lift and body lift.

Thanks for the reply. I go in wednesday afternoon to get the tt drain out and my PS will look at my arms at the same time. After talking with his nurse today it doesn't sound "normal" to have this swelling and warmth.
I had BR 25 years ago, so thankfully the "girls" are still in the right place and the right size, but I don't remember a whole lot of pain with that. Just sluggishness from the anesthesia and some pulling under the arms.
