Back Lift
I had an upper flankplasty a month ago. Most of my excess skin was under my arms...side of boobs. It was not to an extreme but enough to bother me when I saw it overhanging my bra. I also had a minimal amount of skin going into my backside. My incisions start at the far end of my breasts on the outer side and go into my back. The incisions don't meet in the middle of my back. It's difficult for me to see but there's probably a 5 inch gap between the incisions meeting. I will have my husband take a picture soon and I'll make sure to post them here so you can see.

Back lifts or upper body lifts are generally well tolerated by patients. If it is done as a solo procedure it can often be done as an outpatient. The recovery is nothing like that of a body lift. In my practice, I hide the scar in the bra line and the incision will often extend straight across into the flanks and naturally blend into the fold under the breast or into a previous scar if the patient had previous breas surgery.
Best of luck with you surgery.
