I don't know how common it is for the skin to break and bleed, my panni is  2 parts, one cuts across my belly button area and when it's wet or gets pulled it breaks apart. It's rather uncomfortable! I think most people get rashes.

For BCBS of mi it completely depends on your policy if they even cover it. mine had to go over the pubic area and there had to be skin issues as well... there were a ton of requirements and there had to be diagnosis codes that match up for them to cover it.

Look at you! Down 160lbs!!! Unbelieveable!! Way to go!!!!!

Thanks for the info, Lisa.  I feel so out of touch since not being able to make the last two get togethers.  And I work evenings so won't be able to attend the GHP support groups.  I don't think my insurance will cover it, my skin issues are psoriasis flares under the panni region.  However, I get flares in other regions as well.  Wishfully thinking I guess.  Anyways, best of luck to you next month and post pics if you feel comfortable enough. 

Hopefully you'll be able to make the next MIDS get together...
It's worth a call to your insurance to see what their requirements are, ya never know!
I am planning on taking before pics, I hope I want to take after pictures too, lol! I'm sure my after will be much better than what I've got now. I had no idea it'd be like this after the loss... or maybe I didnt know I'd have this hard of a time with it? Time will tell!
