Weight loss after tt

I had a tummy tuck August 2009.  Have anyone lost 20 lbs. after having a tummy tuck and breast augmentation?  If so, what was your experience in regards to the affect of your tt and ba?

I am having a revision to my bypass done in February (my opening is too big and he's going to make it smaller) and I just curious as to if I lose 20 lbs. will my belly stay tight.

Thank you in advance for your input.

I had a tt with my lbl, and my surgeon said it would not stay tight if I lost weight after, and I've heard similar from others, but who knows. If you only lose very little, the difference may be negligible. I did unintentionally lose some right after plastics, because the antibiotics wreaked havoc on my gut and made me nauseous so I had trouble eating, and my belly is still so tight you could bounce a quarter on it.

I will likely need some revision or other work in the future, so figure if I need something tighter or anything needs tweaking, I may have it addressed then.

The only thing you may be able to do to help, is to make sure you are getting all supplements and really stay up on your protein to help your skin out as much as possible.

Thank you for the information.  I am preparing myself now with the extra protein and exercising a little more now that I know the surgery is two months away.

I lost weight after my lbl and my breast lift. Iit did affect my breasts, but I have no implants so I think you are golden there.  My LBL just looks better.  You will lose the weight all over youur body.  Best wishes.  Loris

Good luck with your revision surgery.  I must say you look fantastic.  I would have NEVER pegged you as a bariatric patient.

Your proportions look amazing.

I too am having a revision.  I met with Dr. Kelvin Higa about a week ago.  He's the best.  My revision surgery will be difficult and challenging given my prior surgical history (Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RGB); Small bowel obstruction and abdominal hernia repair).  I wouldn't trust another soul to operate on me again for bariatric surgery than Dr. Higa.

Here's my questions for you Ms. Sherline and others out there who wish to comment  (I'm new to posting on the message boards so excuse me if I'm not posting in the right place or in the right way):

1.  How effective are revisions from RGB to DS?
Can I expect to lose 100% of my excess weight?  I am 100lbs overweight.
2.  Does everyone who loses 100lbs have sagging skin or can post op surgical compression garments reduce the possibility of sagging skin?
3.  Finally,  what do cosmetic procedures such as a TT, Breast Lift with implants cost?

I'm waiting for approval from insurance and I hope it comes soon.  I am dying to get this weight off as I've been fat for the past 8 years.  My original RGB was in March 1996.

Thank you for the compliments.  In regards to your questions, I can't tell you anything about the revision, but I do wish you the best.

I lost 90 lbs. and even though I worked out regularly I had sagging skin.  My breast was the worse so I had to get them done, plus I love being big breasted.  My breast lift with implants were about 10,000 including the implants which cost 2,100 alone.  My insurance paid for part of my tummy tuck, but I had to pay the balance and I really don't recall how much it was.  Liposuction for each body part was 2,500.

Good luck.
