One week post LBL

I just posted a photo to my profile, 1 week post LBL. I didn't take any before photos, will need to get one from my surgeon.

Thanks Cleo! I finally feel like a human now that drains are out. You can't really tell from the front but I'm very swollen, from the side I look strange. Not so much the belly swelling but the low back swelling, gives me a very bloated shape. 

I'm still on the Percocet, I'm not one of those girls that was off it 2 days after surgery!

if u r swollen, measure where you feel u r swollen and measure every few days and thats how u know for sure it is going down.I had my abdominoplasty 2 years ago today and I still measure myself to make sure I am not swollen and for the days i feel at I measure myself and know it is in my head

Looking good Jen.  I'm 9 weeks out and the worst swelling has been the lower back...it's still not completely resolved.

 Laura have you found anything to help with the back swelling? Would ice help?

No, I haven't tried anything and Dr. LoMonaco said this is very common and it just takes time.  Mine is getting better...but it's still there.  He didn't recommend anything except staying in compression.  I know it sucks, but it does get better.

swelling just takes time & the more u do the more u will swell notice u r more swollen in the evening.

after my WLS this was the best think that I couls have ever done for myself and my self esteem
