my course of antibiotics is over (six IV sites in two days- my veins just have had it...) and i'm ready to heal now.  i'm SO behind the curve here.  i'm ready to get back to exercising, but am still a couple of weeks out from going to the gym, i think.  i'm planning on starting very slowly by walking around the neighborhood.  i was up to 2 and a half times around the hospital floor this afternoon!

i have a follow-up with the surgeon on weds and with the coumadin clinic on thursday.

i've also decided to take another month off and go back to work in february instead of january 4th.  teaching second grade takes a lot of energy that i'm not sure i'll have in less than 4 weeks.  thankfully i have an extremely understanding principal and an amazing substitute for my class.

thanks for your support during this difficult time.

You've had a rough time.  Hopefully, now you'll just be in the healing mode now.  Taking more time off is probably better for you.  You'll know when it's the right time to go back to work.  I remember second graders... full on engery in motion.  Take it easy for a while, you deserve the extra time off.

I'm glad to hear that you've back home - and hopefully you'll stay home LOL I'm sure you're sick of the hospital.

Smart to take some extra time off to heal, you've been through a tough time.

I'm mall walking - I like walking because you can really go at your own pace and in the mall the temperature is always comfortable and it's fun to see all the holiday decorations and lots of activities. Best of all there are chairs to rest in if you need a break.
