LBL peeps - is your scar crooked?

I'm almost 6 weeks out!  Woo-hoo!  I can now finally bend at the waist and pick stuff up off the ground, sleep in any position, do cardio hard for an hour, work all day, and go go go like I did before.  So thankful because I know not everyone has it that good.  I didn't do anything special to deserve it either.  Weird.

Anyway, now that I'm 6 weeks out almost, i am doing what I've seen most everyone do on here and that is start looking at the surgery results with a critical eye.  At first you are just so thrilled to have the apron gone. It was so emotional when I saw my flat tummy for the first time, I almost cried!  Okay, so blah blah blah...glad I did it and all that.  Now on to what is bugging me! ha!

My scar is crooked.  It is higher on one side of my body than the other.  I can't remember from all the pics I saw before if that is normal or not.  I'm still thrilled and won't be doing any kind of revision or whatever...but just curious because others are asking about a referral from my PS and just want to find out what ya'll think.

I have pics out from night before and 10 days post op and you can tell the lopsided part I am talking about.  I need to get new pics becuase it looks much better now.  If you need the password just send me a PM.

I don't think that any LBL scar will be perfectly straight since it's more of a moving canvas they are working on. My LBL scar is pretty much even in the front. In the back one side goes up higher thant the other. Wasn't completely happy w/ that but it still is pretty much hidden when wearing a bikini or panties. What matters to me more is that my scars are very thin and light. Very hard to see unless you're right up on them.

I didn't have an LBL, but I did have an extended TT. My PS explained to me before hand that we sag heavier sometimes in certain places. It depends on how much skin is being removed and how much it sags to how the scar goes. So he was telling me that in some places the scar may be higher simply due to the fact that they needed to get the best tightening result and that is the only way to do it. If that makes sense. So I guess I am trying to say that I believe it is normal.

Thanks so much!  I feel better now...just wanted to make sure he wasn't doing a bad job or something.

good to know - my lbl is thursday and i was JUST thinking about that critical eye - i had it when i had my thigh lift - but, now - two years later - i could care less about the scars - my legs look better than they have in over 20 years -so, who cares about the scars?

Mine is scheduled for 12-16, but the surgeon warned me that my scar might be uneven simply because they will remove the thinner, more stretched out skin and leave thicker, stronger skin - and that may not be completely symmetrical. They did say it would be covered by underwear, so I'm planning on not freaking out (but we'll see what I actually do later on!)

Thanks for the explaination!  Its covered up so I'm not really worried about it but glad to know its not because he did a bad job or anything.

Yes, my scar is lopsided.  It's about 1.5 inches higher on the left than on the right.  I'm a little bit bummed, but will not be considering revision, given my situation.

Surgeon hasn't given an explanation yet, but things are still touchy with everything else.
