Underwire Bras

For those of you who have either had a BL or a BA, how long did you wait until you started to wear an underwire bra?  Thanks

I went from the surgical bra that I woke up in to a firm fitting sports bra. I wore the sports bar until I was about 8 weeks out. By that time I was able to wear my underwires without them bothering the incisions. I continue to wear a sports bra to sleep in just for the added support.

8 weeks sounds about right here too.

I am 6.5 weeks out and wore an underwire for the first time last night (Christmas party) and again today.

Near the end of the day it start rubbing a bit but wasn't too bad.....the things we do for fashion!!!

I also wear an athletic bra at night.

I'm over 5 mos out and I wear a sports bra at night..as far as underwire, about 3 mos out.

My doc let me start wearing regular bras-underwires at 4 weeks. I had a lift and augmentation on 10/29/10.

I am 8 months post op and I still don't wear underwires. Of course, I think my hypertropic scars are to blame for that. I wear a sports bra instead. I am also more comfortable sleeping in it, too.

Thankfully, the surgeon is treating the scars, so maybe one day I'll be back in a regular bra....
