Have my first consult Dec 14 for Extended TT/Inner thigh lift

My first appt is with Dr. Hing who has done plastic surgery on many bariatric patients. I'm interested in having an extended tummy tuck and for those who have had it, how far around did your incision go? Was it just hip to hip or does the incision progress further than that? I'm just curious because I might just consider having a LBL because I think I need a buttock lift but I will wait to see what the doc says.  I have a lot of extra skin and have been trying to get below 200lbs which is where I have been for the last 6 months even though I'm working out almost 90min/day and watching my calories. I don't think I will ever be a size 2 nor do I want to be. I'm afraid that along with the prospect of plastic surgery that the doc might make me lose more weight.

Kinda rambled on, sorry. Got a lot on my mind.

I don't know for sure as I'm just in the research part but saw no one had answered yet.  I thought the extended tt went from the table on one side to the table on the other in other words as far ast they can get w/o turning you.   Of course if they didn't need to go that far they wouldn't.

Hi - I had an extended TT earlier this year and they did go as far and they can without moving you.  Alot of surgeons including mine won't do a TT and thigh lift at the same time.  I just had the thigh lift a month ago.  Good luck.

There are a lot of semantics when it comes nobody contouring. When talking to your plastic surgeon, you need to find out exactly what they mean. An extended tummy tuck usually refers to an abdominoplasty combined with a lateral excision that goes as posterior as possible without having to turn the patient over. Depending on the technique used, the lateral excision can give a nice lift and contour to the lateral thigh. It is less of a lift that will occur with a LBL. Extended TT will not have any effect on the buttock region.

Best of luck with you surgery and congratulations on your weight loss.

I have had an extended anchor cut tummy tuck and an inner thigh lift but not at the same time. My surgeon also did not want to combine those 2 procedures together. They are big surgeries and when you have your core operated on you really rely on your legs to get you up and down and to move you.

My horizontal incision goes well into my hip area toward my butt. He basically cut me as far down to the table without turning me over. It did help in my hip area with extra skin there as well.

Make sure you ask about all the details and exactly what he means with his different terminologies so you have a clear understanding.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you everyone for the replies, sorry I am so late writing this. I am seriously considering having this surgeon perform my surgery. I think I will be having a second consult with him before everything is final.
