what kind of compression garment?
The binders job is to reduce swelling and help the skin adhere to the muscle - wear it as much as you can for as long as you can. I loved wearing mine - I felt so much more secure in it. Then I got to the point where I wore it only at night and during the day I didn't wear one. By evening I was swollen again. I too bought the Flexees at Kohls from when I transitioned, but my Dr didn't tell me too - I just did it when I thought I didn't need the full binder anymore (or basically when it got too loose and I didn't feel it was really helping).
I took 4 weeks off from work - could have probably went back after 3. I live 4 hours away from the surgeons office and had to stay at my daughters' place down by him. AND there was no way I was going to go back to work with drains...I had 3 drains - first 2 came out at the first weekly appt and the 2nd one wasn't for 2 weeks. I took that one out myself....
Best of luck with your surgery!

I am so glad you asked this question! I am in the same boat. I had TT two weeks ago and this binder will make it hard to go back to work where we dress in business attire and I likely will have to go up a couple of sizes in slacks in order to have clothes to wear to the office. I like the look of the kohls one but I don't need it on my thighs, just my tummy.
