what kind of compression garment?
Congratulations! I don't have the answer to your question ... sorry. I am two weeks pre-op tummy tuck and muscle repair. I have some questions for you, if you don't mind. How are you feeling two weeks out? Do you still have drains in? Are you back to work (if you work) I am hoping to be back to work at about 2.5 weeks.... wondering if I am being unrealistic! I have a desk job so I don't lift or anyting. Thanks.
I got my drains out at my one week apppointment. I have two very small blisters at the surgery site, so I still have tape on my incision line. I had surgery on the 11th, and am back to work today the 29th for the first time. So far so good. I am on light duty, so I am sitting at a desk. I feel pretty good. Getting up was hard this morning, but I have been at work for almost three hours and still feel pretty good! I am leaning back in my chair a bit, and my regular colothing doesn't fit me yet. I am very swollen, but not hurting, and if I need to I will take a tylenol. I have the tape coming off in two days, and hopefully it all still looks good under there. I still get tired easy, but this is easier than I thought it would be.

I'm 3.5 weeks post op from LBL/hernia repair and arm lift. I was told at 2 weeks that I could switch to a Spanx type biker short girdle. But I haven't - at the time I had two drains and it would be too awkward so I've stuck to the binder. And I've made a decision not to bother with the Spanx - I'm just going to continue with the binder. My binder had 4 rows and I was told I could cut one row off to make it more comfortable - so I have.
I tried the Spanx this weekend and they were uncomfortable because now I had compression on the abdomen but also on the thighs - one more thing to deal with and another weird feeling to deal with when you stop wearing compression. I also didn't like the fact that you have to pull the Spanx down to go to the bathroom - where as I can keep the binder on. My PS already gave me 3 binders so I can wash them daily - I'm just going to keep on until I don't need compression. It's so easy to get the binder on compared to Spanz - another plus.
