I had a medial thigh lift a week ago, I've opened up a bit so we have to pack with gauze, this I'm use to cuz same thing happened with my anchor TT. my complaint is that every time we remove the gentle tape I end up screaming in pain! Anyone else?

Congrats on your thigh lift.  I'm 3 whole days out from mine!  I'm allergic to adhesive tape and so I use the paper tape.  It hasn't been too bad yet.  You should follow your surgeon's instructions with the open places especially, but I was told to switch from guaze pads to maxi pads.  I use the paper tape to hold them together and then I pull my garment up over them.  They stay in place so far and the tape is on the pads only, not on my body.  Hope you find something that works well for you.

My surgeon makes a belt out of pads (panty liners if there's not much oozing and maxipads if there is drainage) and holds them together with a long strip of blue painter's tape so there is no tape on the skin at all.  I think it is a brilliant idea and it works great.
