Plastics with Dr. Quiroz?

 with all due respect, I have to disagree. If he was well equipped, when he knew I was bleeding internally, he would have put me in the hospital.................STAT.

I am glad that your surgeries have turned out well, Sonja, I really am.

I had a lower body lift and hernia repair with Dr. Quiroz in 2007, and it went well, but I went back for brachioplasty and breasts in 2008 and I am completely dissatisfied. I have dog ears, scars, permanent stitches poking out of my breasts and arms, and I wasn't happy with communication. Dr. Quiroz never told me he wouldn't be able to do the arms in one go - had he said that I wouldn't have bothered going. flying to Mexico and having to get accommodations twice would have worked out more than just getting things done locally.

There have been others on here who have said that they had really bad work. There are some horrific pictures out there of a woman who was left with some major problems. She doesn't seem to post anymore. I've seen some pretty bad stuff over at plastic surgery journeys.

My pics are in my profile. I will eventually have the arms fixed locally, or maybe down in the Philly area.

Haven't been on this board in a few weeks, been busy with work and all!

Glad you posted also..I'm doing better since my last surgery on 11/22 here in CA. Can't wait for the final results!

Just like you, my arms are bad. I loved them at first, thought they looked great. But a few months down the road when I was able to see my final results, I have pucker marks, and I still have so much skin left...nowhere near enough was taken. My PS here in CA says a revision won't work, but instead I have to have my arms completely redone. Oh well live and learn I guess.

I'm in the same boat - I need a complete redo, not just a revision. If I had known that going in, I wouldn't have gone. Plenty of docs here could have done it in one shot, and it would have saved me money in the long run.

A week after surgery my friend Chris, also a wls person, said "your arms still hang" and he was right. I kept saying "oh, it'll go down once the swelling goes away." Never happened, and the puckers, dog ears and stitches all suck.

i am putting off any mroe work because we're buying a house. We're closing in a week or so, definitely before the end of the year.

Hi Janel,, did you have your inner thighs surgery done? How is the results of your arm surgery 1 year after?

Yeah,  I'm too just going to live with my amrs for now. With the lipo I jsut had done, my next step will be my iner thighs and then I think I'll be all done....don't need to get all obsessive. I've learned that you never really get exactly what you want..and sometime much less than what you ever expected.

I've bought 1 gift so far, and that was a gift card through my school's escrip program...I have the next 2 weeks off which is so cool. I think I'm going up to Placerville 1 day, and then after Christmas going to Disneyland!! Fun!
