You look really good, Erica. Things will continue to get better and you'll regain more range of motion over time. Your scars look thin and they will lighten up a lot more. I hope things continue to go well for you!

Thanks Renee.  How's your healing going?  I'd love to see before/afters of that - that's the only place that still really bugs me and I'd think about "going under" for again...

Things are going well for me. It's not been bad at all. I'm just a little swollen but that's to be expected. My steri-strips are really sticking good so I haven't seen the actual incisions yet. I am so mad at myself. I totally forgot to take before pictures but I will post some afters once I am healed and things have settled. So far I am glad that I did it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have the results I was hoping for.

You look great! Glad you updated as I'm a week behind you so it's very encouraging to hear you are out of your binder.

Yup - I was cleared to step down to a "spanx" thing at 3 weeks, and out of everything at 4 weeks.  That said - I don't have a ton of swelling (never have).  I do swell - but the pic above is about the worst (results of PMS and a busy week).  So not somethign my PS is worried about.

Life is better without the binder!!

You're looking wonderful. LOL isn't it funny where our skin get relocated after plastics.

I was allowed to wear the spanx type boy shorts at my second office visit (1.5 weeks post op LBL with hernia repair) but I still have two drains and I couldn't figure out what to do with those drains so I'm hoping to get them removed this week and then I'll wear the spanx. I presume it's more comfortable and easier to fit under pants.

Switching to the spanx was SO much better than my binder.  Mine was a wrap around kind of thing - and it was thick and hard.  SO uncomfortable once I went back to work (and had to sit up in a chair all day).  I was so glad to change!

Erica,

You look great but I need to hijack your post for a quick question.

Has anyone had the laser hair removal to their pubic hair line???? What all does that involve?

I am about 4.5 weeks out from TT w/muscle tightening.  I already pluck my eyebrows and chin, I don't want to pluck my PUBES, too!  Or if I don't, I think my underwear will look like they have a fur collar!

C'mon someone, lay some words of wisdom on me!

I posted this same question a few weeks ago and got tons of responses.  You might want to look back through my old posts and find that one - some great info.

Right now I shave an inch or so below my incision so that my undies don't have that fur collar.  lol  Once everything is all healed and good - I'm going to pursue the laser.  I'm worried about doing it too soon though and making my scars heal dark??
