PS in Mexico anyone?
I just returned from Mexico a few weeks ago. I had been there for my sleeve, and had no hesitation going back. I have seen work in person by several plastic surgeons from Mexico and then did ALOT of research and along with a friend, selected a doctor in Mexicali. I had a tt and arm lift. Very pleased with the surgery and after care, (3 nights in the hospital 4 at a hotel). Mexacali is very safe, looks and feels like any US city. We walked alone freely and safely everyday to restaurants and shopping. It is nothing at all like Tijuana......I plan on going back next fall for more work. There are many really good plastic surgeons out there, and of course safety is the most important thing. There are alot of people who have gone to Sauceda (they have their own forum on here) and are also very happy. Don't exclude Mexico, just do your homework and decide. It's the only way I could afford it also, but I got far better care and experience than I would have had I stayed locally in the states. My doctor was board certified in Mexico AND the US, and came with 22 years experience, and had done alot of plastics on weightloss patients. I was unable to find anyone locally with that much experience with weightloss patients. Good Luck to you, PM me if you need anything else.
Hi there,
Is that Dr. Quiroz? I am going to do a virtual consultation with him and see what he says. I just got a call from Joyce and she wants me to send her pics so he can review them. I'm curious as to what kind of financing they offer becuase my credit blows right now LOL I hope you have a great surgery, and I'm so jealous!!

. All PS want their money up front, in the states we have CARE CREDIT.
please really do your homework on Dr. Quiroz. I have seen the works of 3 people on this site that he did and the work was absoulutely horrible. I realize all surgeons can have a bad day and sometimes people r not pleased but this was really bad.I
I had my PS in the states so I am not affiliated with anyone in MX but I have been having PS for the last 2 years & that is how long I have been on this forum.
from what I see Dr. Sauceda's work looks great and 2 years on this board I have never heard anything njegative about him & his work is really nice. there is a forum on here just for his patients but I dont know what it is called
GOOD LUCK to you especially if u decide to go with Dr.Q.

Hi Christina,
I'm heading to Monterrey in Jan to let Dr Sauceda redo my body. I'm having an LBL, BL maybe BA, small upper thigh lift, my arms and 4-5 days later a full facelift. One time, one recovery. 3-4 days in the clinic the rest of the time in the Hampton Inn, visit by the dr daily and his home health care person daily to help with shower, changing the dressings, getting you into the compression garments, and cleaning the used one.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I am looking at Dr. Quiroz as well. I am in Sacramento, so it's not too far away by plane. I am getting ready to do the virtual consultation, but nervous about sending them pics of myself LOL. I'm excited about the possibility of getting rid of the extra skin though. I'm not one that has gotten really small with my weight loss, I went from a 32/34W down to a 16. I'm sure with the plastics though I'd be around a 12, and I am perfectly happy with that. Just being healthy now is awesome.. but I do sometimes feel horrible when I look in the mirror and see all that skin. I am glad there are people like you to let me know I'm not crazy for thinking of going to Mexico
Thanks again
Thanks again
I went to Mexico also. I had Dr Sauceda and just loved him and the care I got. I am returning in 2011 for the rest of my procedures.
You mentioned that you think that you will go from a size 16 to a size 12 with plastics. I haven't seen that happen with anyone else here on the forum. It's not realistic to think that you could lose 4 sizes. Your shape will improve and you may lose a size or two. My doctor removed 19lbs of skin from my tummy and arms and I only dropped one size. The clothes fit totally different and I loved my new shape when I returned home. I have lost about 70lbs since returning home and that is why I'm going back for the rest of my procedures.
I only mention this because I have read a lot of disappointing posts from people thinking they would lose more sizes after plastics.
I would suggest also making a post and naming it, "Dr Quiroz, any opinions" I do not remember what I heard, but I have heard his name many times here and I do not think it's always been favorable. I may be wrong, but I think it's a good idea to put his name as the title of your post and see what you find out.
Good Luck! You're going to love the new you!

Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
Hi there,
I'm not really too worried about what size I end up in the end. I only say I'd probably go to a 12 is because I can fit a 14 around my waist now.. just not over all the extra skin on my thighs and hips. We'll see though.. I'm just happy to think about that skin being gone.. I'd be thrilled to stay at a 16 if that is gone LOL
Thanks for the suggestions.. I think I will change it and see what kind of responses I get.
Thanks again!
