It just occured to me today to check out OH for a plastics forum!  I spend a lot of time on my the Indiana forum and the pregnancy forum.  I should have been looking here a long time ago!

I go tomorrow for my TT and a hernia repair ( hernia is from a surgery I had when I was 30 weeks preggo, full story here, its a good read! : http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/IN/4171885/Was-heading-to- my-baby-shower-and-ended-up-in-E-Surgery/)

Having a four month old and not being able to lift her for a while is goign to be less than fun, but my hubby is up for the task!

Wish me luck!  Any advice is much appreciated!

Take your pain meds generously. Don't try to be a hero. And take stool softeners, cuz you do NOT want to have to strain!

Have some big safety pins or a lanyard to keep your drains from hanging, take a stool softener or laxative each time you take your pain meds, as you DON'T want to have any straining.
Have extra pillows on hand to put under your knees for laying down.
Maybe get a few protein drinks as I was soooo tight, eating right after was very limited and I still wanted my protein.

Am 4 weeks out today, and feeling great, the pain was less than anticipated and will be much easier than what you went through earlier!  You'll do great and it will be so worth it!
Good luck Kim

Good luck with your surgery!!!  I agree with the other message make sure you take your pain meds especially during the night set an alarm to remember to take your pain meds if need be.  Get a stool softener any strain on stomach muscles sneezing coughing constipation is painful. Don't forget to keep track of drains the sooner you can get them out the better. I just had tummy tuck breast lift and implants oct 22nd I was surprised besides the first two days the pain wasn't as bad as I was expecting.  I am super happy with my results and hope you will be too.
