I am having a body lift, breast lift and arm lift on December 9th by Dr. Capella.  I will be staying at the hospital overnight on December 9th and then on the 10th I will be transported to a local nursing home/rehab for one night.  Can someone give me a list of what to bring for the hospital/rehab.  Also, what are some things to have at home for my convenience.

I've been hospitalized way too many times, here is what I like to have:

lip balm & facial moisturizer(dry air in hospitals!)
healthy snacks (I need to eat more often than 3x daily)
warm socks
ipod
magazines (books hard to concentrate on while on pain meds)
toothbrush, paste
travel shampoo, soap (if able to shower)
loose yoga type clothes & slippers for going home

this is a good list...

I also added my computer, phone, kindle (unused) and associated chargers. The doctor also had me bring my prescription meds with me for the aftercare facility nurses to administer. And arnica.

I have to be honest though, I wasn't up to magazine reading or really doing much more than breathing the first two days.

My situation was extreme, but I only really wanted to read in the past couple of days and I'm a HUGE reader.  I also didn'****ch any television by choice, and I'm a tv-holic.

I never did use my iPod, though my son did when he was visiting me.
