I'm having a TT w/muscle tightening in one month. Can someone tell me what kind of exercising I should do BEFORE my surgery to make my recovery easier? Thanks....

Anything that strengthens your core - I do pilates.  You can search on line for other exercises.  Good luck

I did a lot of walking and hiking - fun stuff - no hard core boring gym workout. I had no problems getting around after a LBL/hernia repair and arm lift. I think it also helps to be close to a normal BMI and in the best nutritional state.

Edited to add: I had no problems or pain walking up and down stairs to get to my second floor bedroom. It felt just normal except I wwas moving slowly.

I would think basic exercises that help the abdominal muscles.  However, I asked my PS the same question and he said b/c my stomach muscles were paper thin and very separated (three huge pregnancies back to back), there was nothing I could do to help them before surgery.  After surgery, he told me my ab muscles were completely separated to the sides of my stomach!  They had a bit of work to do but now they are tight!
