Splain??? LBL vs fleur de lis

Here's my situation.  I have got some panni hanging down, but more so, I've got a huge bulge above the belly button.  I call it "conehead"  tummy.  Thought I had a tumor or something, but no, that's just the way I am.  LOL (No hernia)  So I had a consultation and the surgeon said  a fleur de lis would be good for me - probably extended out to hips.  But now that I have looked through pics on the internet sites, I see that somehow surgeons doing LBL's get fat above the belly button  with no vertical scar.

How do they do that?

I'm even having trouble finding before pics that look like my tummy.  I'm not that far from my goal, just holding fat above my belly button.  I don't really need/want a scar all around me, but I'm just confused about what would work for me.  Thanks for your help   -Jenny

Some surgeons can remoce the fat and skin above the belly button with just a regular TT as well.  It depends on the surgeon and your body.

I have extra skin above my BB that my surgeon said he can fix with just a horizontal cut.  He said that he will remove 4 inches of skin above my BB and then pull it all down.  It just depends on what they have to work with.  I saw 2 surgeons, both who stated they could do the same.  try going to another PS for another opinion.
