Help, Pain - 7 months post BA/BL

Yesterday afternoon my breasts started to hurt. By bed time I was in a lot of pain and took some ibuprofen. I woke up in the night unable to move because of the pain. Got myself out of bed and took more ibuprofen. When I got up this morning it was so painful to get out of bed, same feeling right after surgery. I will call my surgeons office tomorrow am but was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and knew what was going on.

I went to a spa for a 4 day vacation Sun - Wed. I did 5 treatments, most of them wraps. The temperature is very very warm. I was also in the steam room. I did not hurt or feel uncomfortable there at all. I was fine when I was back to work on Thurs/Fri and I didn't go to the gym so it couldn't be muscular.

It hurts to take deep breaths. The other weird thing is my knee, I can barely move it. It's always had a bit of arthritis but I haven't done anything to irritate it. I have a monster headache that goes down my neck into my shoulders. I took my temp and it's normal.

I had my BL/BA on April 14. I have cohesive gummys. If anyone can offer some insight, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Bev

I'm sorry your feeling badly and in pain.  Such an odd question.  Someone just asked about heat and steam the other day and the appearance on scars.  I wondered about this myself with our new hot tub and steam shower if the gummys could react.  No one ever mentioned or warned me about this.

I hope you get an answer quickly, maybe its just a flu bug or some crazy swelling??? Please let us know what your PS says.  Feel better soon... Toni

HI Bev

I can certainly understand your concern and worry. If it helps - I had pain after breast reduction for at least a year after....sometimes out of the blue....its like the nerves all of a sudden came alive and started to pulse..

I have had many surgeries - but the breasts took the longest to heal...and here some 20 years later I still can get nerve twinges in the breast area

Hope this is all it is.....and perhaps the spa got things worked up a bit....you will certainly feel better when you can speak to your surgeons office tomorrow....good luck

Barb

I have no clue as to what is causing the pain but I'm so sorry you are experiencing it. I'm sure it really caught you by surprise being this far out. I'm glad you'll be talking to your surgeon tomorrow and I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks everyone appreciate it. It's so strange being this far out, I just can't see the spa causing it... anyway, have some T3 left over from surgery so going to take one so I can actually recline in bed. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. I think my surgeon operates on Mondays but worst case I can go into the hospital and see the on call plastic surgeon.

Oh my goodness Bev, I was so surprised to read your post.  After all this time I can imagine how this is a concern for you.  I hope that it is nothing serious and can be explained tomorrow when you call your surgeon.  Please keep us informed what caused this.  Hope you are getting a good night's sleep now after taking the Ty3...take care of yourself.Linda
