new friend a week after EXT TT

my compression garment has become my new best friend. I am just a week out of surgery after having an Ext tummy tuck and I can image being with out it. I took it off for an hour yesterday while I showered and man I felt a LOT better once I put it back on.


I am amazing how much it helps.

2nd the pain pills. I didnt think I was the type of person would take them, but wow they make life bare-able.

Shopping or going out is a nightmare, all the time people bump into me and I its hard to get around.

I cant wait for this to be over and for the healing to start. I mean with out the drains. I think it will become a lot easier when the drains are moved. It looks like that will be Thursday

I get happy and sad at times. I didn't think this would hurt as much as it has. But the surgeon was the best and I trust has done the best possible job. I just didn't know how long it was going to hurt.

This morning I work up and am finally beginning to feel a little normal.

I guess each day I will begin to feel a little normal. I just hope I cheer up as well

Oh man - I get it.  I found I felt great for the first few days after my TT and then it went downhill after that for about another week.  I started to be able to get up and around, but it HURT to do it!!  And things didn't heal up as fast as my VSG.  And the drains SUCK. 

I will say - I am almost 3 weeks out now, and the last 3-4 days have been like turning a corner.  I can do more.  My drains are gone and my incisions are pretty much completely healed.  I have more energy and I hurt less (although still tender!).  My incisions are looking better and the swelling is decreasing.  My mood has improved as well.

Just hold out hope that it will improve a LOT in the next two weeks!!
