I know everyone is different, but just need to know how long you will be off work after tt w/muscle tighening?

I had an LBL & brachio at the same time. I was off work for 4 weeks. W/ my incisions and stuff I probably could have gone back at 2 weeks but would have been very weak & tired. I was completely worn down the first week back after being 4 weeks off. I might have had some type of bug when I went back b/c the first day I was running a low grade fever. However I also still had 1 drain in my leg. Not sure if it would be less when you are only having a TT & not an LBL w/ another procedure so not under anesthesia as long.

I had a traditional TT with muscle tightening (and BA/BL) and took off 2 weeks.

Good Morning,

Today, I am 16 days post extended TT with muscle tightening.  I could have gone back to work last Monday if I had a total desk-type job.  I would honestly say you need at least 2-3 weeks minimum if you can afford that amount of time off just because of the fatigue factor.

I feel good.  Still get a bit tired but the pain has been significantly less than what I expected.  The worse part of the entire procedure was being stranded at the Atlanta airport for 9+ hours due to weather on my flight home from Mexico.

Coughing the first few days HURT.  But now it is just uncomfortable.  Haven't taken anything for pain since the airport debacle!!!!! and probably didn't really need to then!

I attribute my quick recovery and minimal swelling to being active and exercising BEFORE the surgery.  Pretty much, as soon as the anesthesia fog cleared I was up and walking the floor after my surgery and have continued to move around.

Like you said, everyone is different.  Try to prepare yourself months in advance.  Also, don't forget your vitamins and upping your protein prior to the surgery.

Take care, Nancy
