Wow, worse than natural childbirth? I had an epidermal but I still remember the labor pains.

I'd have to say it's worse, but don't let that scare you because it is soooo worth it. I had lap. RNY and also had my gallbladder out via lap. Both surgeries wiped me out for about 5 days, then several weeks to get my energy back. I used pain meds for the first 5 days.

With my BA and first TT I used pain meds for 5 days and was tender for at least a month. With my second TT (included in my LBL) the surgeon did the muscle tightening which the first one didn't do, and that really hurt! I used the entire prescription of pain meds. But I'd do it again.

Yes, worse than natural childbirth!!

My hubby tells me I have a very high tolerance for pain, too....as long as I can complain!

Even though this recovery has kicked my butt and was worse than I anticipated, I do like the results.

I think my c-sections were much worse pain wise than the plastics (lbl/bl).  BUT, the recovery IS longer because of the length of the incisions.  I'm 4 weeks out as of yesterday and feeling about 80%.

I agree- my c-sections were worse pain wise than any of my other surgeries, including my lbl and ba/bl. The recovery time is longer for the plastics because of the scope of the surgery, but the pain was very well controlled for me with my plastics.
