so my insurance will cover plastic surgery if I loose over 100 lbs to remove excess skin...my only wonder is if they will cover a breast augmentation?? I have been dying for one b/c my whole life I never considered myself to have "girl boobs" more like "man boobs" ...so if insurance doesn't cover it then what is usually the price?? What is usually the recovery time? ....thanks for any response!!

That's really hard to say because the cost of breast augmentation usually includes EVERYTHING necessary, including anesthesia costs, hospital/surgery center stay, etc. But if your insurance is ALREADY paying that for your pannilectomy (sp?), then you wouldn't have to pay it a SECOND time (assuming you have the procedures at the same time).

My best advice: have a consult with a plastic surgeon. They will be able to break everything down for you and you will have a better idea of the costs. Plastic surgery costs vary WIDELY across the country too, so that will also impact the bottom line.

Good luck.

I very highly doubt ins will cover BA (heck, its hard enough to get tummy or anything else covered). MY BL/BA was $7400 and I was out of the office (desk job) for a week but I coulda used a few more days to be honest...not PAINFUL but just super sore b/c of the muscle stuff...

Be happy.

I know it vary depending on where you are but I also know you can get it abroad for cheaper price but no insurance would cover it

The two people I know that have had a breast augmentation done have said the cost out of pocket for them (one in Oklahoma the other in Kansas) were around $3,500.
