Yes, I am done. Dr Stoker did a wonderful job what what I can tell..

I have four drains and he told me that he cut off 2ft of skin from top to bottom and 4 ft from around my waist. Huge different already.. I am little sore it only being day 2, but I am home with family caring for me, I hope to get some pictures post over the next few days.

Pain isnt that bad as long as I take my meds. I was walking hunched over about 12 hours after waking up.. The after care facility was excellent as well. So far it hurts a little getting up or moving out of bed.

Dr said I am going to have a really nice hour glass figure once all he swelling goes down.

YAY! I know you are so glad to be on the other side of surgery. It sounds like you are doing really well and I bet your results will be amazing. Take it easy and let others help you as much as they can. Also, remember that the pain meds can cause constipation so you might want to have some laxatives or stool softeners close by. I hope you have a smooth recovery!

Last Friday I went to the surgical center, and met Dr. Stoker At this time he took pictures for my before and after shots and I met with the rest of the surgical team and it began. When I woke up, there was a nurse by my side and she explained that the aftercare facility was on their way to come and get me. Instead of going home or staying in a hospital Dr. Stoker send his patients to an after care. I went to a place called Serenity, and wow what an excellent choice. The staff there was amazing; they took excellent care of me. The nursing staff was excellent; my room was like staying in a five star hotel room. The bed was very comfortable, just like sleeping at home. I was truly cared for. It was I feel the best way to spend the first night. They woke me up when it was time to clear my drains, take my meds and had light snacks and freshly prepared meals. This is where I fell is love with roasted squash.
Because my extended tummy tuck was so extended I had 4 after surgical drains. Having the drains in isn't that bad. I have to drain them every four hours and they are in to drain out any fluids that build up. They attach to my compression garment with safety pins. It could be a lot worse. I was hoping to have them out today, day 6 but the output is still high enough that they are required. Of course I am still very swollen, I do not have a lot of bruising which is a little shocking. It must be because of the homeopathic creams Dr. Stoker suggested. I use a cream called traumeel, I rub it all over except on the incisions; and I also take a supplement called Arnica Monana twice daily. Two homeopathic remedies that help with swelling and bruising. And I must say they work. I am also take pain meds, antibiotics and pills to help relax and it also helps me sleep at night. I didn't think that I would take that one, but it is very helpful. It works when I get a little upset for having my sister and hubby have to do everything for me, and I get a little worked up, it really help me stay relaxed. After this surgery the last thing you, I need is to get tense or worked up. And with the operation being right in the middle of your body it affects anything and everything. Can't sit up, lay down; have tubs hanging out side at times I just feel like a mess. There are defiantly emotional aspects of this as well. Today when I met with my surgeon and he told me he removed 10lbs of skin and then showed me the photos of what he removed. I really thought long and hard about the choice my husband I and I made selecting Dr. Stoker to do the procedure. That in our minds we made the correct choice and where very happy we did.

Well I am getting tired and am going to take a nap, I will add more laters.
