You are not a big baby! This is a difficult time and the drains are a total pain! It took me about 3 weeks before I started feeling more like myself. I still had some depression but not as bad as I had in the second week postop. Just hang in there and your body will start to heal and you'll feel so much better!

Ugh I get the itchy. This compression thing makes me SO itchy. When I take it off I spend 5minutes scratching before I get in the shower!! I've been using cream on my arms and it helps - maybe I'll try my belly too.
Just letting you know I feel crappy too. Tire easily. Ready to get back to real life!!

Hey Autum,
I know what you mean. I'm up and around and doing stuff, but I am frustrated still that I'm not able to do my usual routine. I have phantom pain, kind of a pins and needles feeling all over my abdomen that is driving me nuts. I find that using a thin tank top under my compression garment helps me. I can't deal with the feeling of that elastic touching me 24-7. The drains SUCK. Just hang on and they will be gone soon. I have mine out and things are so much better, but still my mons skin is so tight it hurts me sometimes and sleeping is just so difficult. I'm back in my bed at night now, because I want to be with my husband- but honestly my trusty recliner is still my favorite place to be. I'm three weeks out tomorrow, and I am honestly dreading my second surgery in Dec (thighs and BA) because I know I'll be laid up again and that is such a bummer.
