3 days post of TT with pics
72 hours out of surgery - I got my binder off and took some pictures. I was pretty afraid that taking that stuff off would let all my guts fall out. Weird, irrational fear - but fear none the less!!
My DH came up to help me shower. At first he didn't want to look at me at all with the bandages off - he doesn't like blood and stuff. I made him take pictures and it was cute seeing him try to not look but get my bod in the frame!
He got over it as I needed him to help me shower and wash my 2000 parts. Pretty soon he was tapping my belly and commenting about how weird it felt - tight like a drum. After feeling my squishy bits for a year - it felt pretty weird to me too.
I still have a puffy spot just below my breast bone - swollen and the skin is much looser there. I'm hoping that tightens up in a bit or at least the swelling goes down. When I look down, it kinda looks like an extra boob there lol.
Anyway - here's a pretty tame shot. I have pictures of my befores and a few other shots on my profile in a private album. PM me if you'd like to take a look.

Thanks ladies!
The pain is not bad - totally able to deal with it with my pain meds. On the day after surgery I didn't keep on top and it got bad...but since I've been keeping it on schedule and been fine. I'm down to three percocets a day - one in the am, one mid day and one before bed. I think by tomorrow or Sunday I'll be able to give up the mid day one and replace it with Aleve or something.
He took off 4lbs of skin he said. He also said he was suprised because it looked (by area) like it would be a lot more. But there was little fat, so it wasn't very heavy.

I keep trying to add you as a friend but when I click on your name or profile pic it tells me that you are not listed. Weird. Can you try and add me as a friend? I hate to bug you to do that but I REALLY want to see your pics! LOL You know how it is...just days away and need some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing.

Done!
I will say I had a few minutes of regret on Wednesday when I got behind on my pain medications, and I have been kind of ambivilent the last few days walking around hunched over and not getting to actually SEE anything going on down there!!
Today I think I'm turning a corner. I feel good, I'm walking easier and I think the drains might come out today!! Then I'll be able to shower alone and look after MYSELF!!
Next thing - get off the percocets after today so that I can DRIVE!!
