arm compression?

My surgeon has asked me to keep these ace bandages on my arms as compression for at least two weeks.  It sucks.  They roll and get loose and are making me crazy.

Anybody have a solution?

I didn't seem to have a problem with mine. I used them as my sole source of compressin for over 3 months. You definitely don't want them too tight or too lose. Once you find that comfortable spot you should be okay.

Maybe I just have crappy bandages.  lol.  One is 4" wide and it is better.  The other is wider - 6" and it slips and slides all over.

I'm pretty sure mine were more like the 4" size. I just slightly overlapped as I covered my arms. They were not uncomfortable at all and I don't remember having a problem with them rolling up.

You can buy specific arm compression garments from Jobst, but they are quite pricy, I think about $71.  I am 2 weeks out from arms and have no swelling.  I'm just using steri strips and Bio-Oil now.  I have one spot that is VERY itchy and red and I will ask the surgeon tomorrow at my appointment.

I used ace bandages until I got my arm compression garments in the mail.  I ordered two sets from Marena and they are perfect.  I advise anyone who had a brachioplasty to get them. They are a little pricey, but worth every penny!  I had the same problem with the ace bandages!  It did suck!  www.marenagroup.com
They are the best!  But make sure you get the ones that come 3/4 sleeve, not above the elbow and not to the wrist.

My ps had me use ace wraps too.  Mine were 4" and had velcro instead of the clips which I like a lot.  He also had me only use arm compression for 2 weeks.  My arms look great and I had very little swelling.  The only day I had noticable swelling was several weeks after when I put a little too much in my shopping basket.

My husband went out last night and got tensor bandages which are self adhesive.  Don't ever get those.  lol  To get them to "stick" you have to pull them kinda tight - too tight for my arms.  And the sticky material is REALLY itchy and sticks to your clothes (and the chair, and the dog...lol).

I'm going to send him out today to get some normal "ace" bandages instead - I'll tell him to look for the velcro ones.  Hopefully my other arm drain will come out today or tomorrow and that will make it easier to wrap.  So far I have very little swelling - and the swelling in my hands has really gone down too.

I was told to wear the tensors for 4 weeks when I had my arms and breast reduction done in May. They drove me freaking nuts. Wrinkles in my arms made me itch, I couldn't wrap my own arms or shower when no one else was home. Here is what I ordered:

There are lots of other options for just arms available on this site too. Shipping was pretty fast too. I also ordered the silicon scar strips from them. Useable for way longer then what my surgeon had available and cheaper in the long run because you wear the strips for a long time. I will be ripping the tensor off my arm very shortly and putting my compression vest back on. My arm is swelling up and killing me after my revision surgery yesterday. The compression sleeves put even pressure all the way from the shoulder to the elbow and just feels so much better.

I had the ace bandages for about 4 days then was allowed to take them off. The he put me in compression garment at my first checkup and wore that for about 6 weeks. Kinda looked like a little bolero jacket that velcroed in the front above and below my boobs. Worked very well and actually felt  more comfortable in it than w/o. Tried going w/o it at 4 weeks when I went back to work b/c the top velcro could be seen in my work shirts. After a day or 2 decided screw it, don't care if people see it feels better and helps control the swelling.
