In nine days St. Stoker is going to be doing my extended tummy tuck, and I am more scared of this than having my gastric by pass. He said he is going to remove almost 2 ft of skin from around my ab area. WOW, I cant believe it. I am scared about the pain afterward.

But I am excited, he is a very well respected surgeon and know I am in good hands, just scared.

It's very normal to be scared. Just make sure you take all the precautions that you can take. Load up on protein for maximized healing. Try to make sure you exercise and strenghten your core muscles as much as you can prior to surgery. After surgery make sure you stay on top of your pain meds and be sure to have a laxative and/or stool softeners to keep you from becoming constipated. The pain is normally very well managed with the proper pain meds. You will absolutley LOVE your new tummy. Your clothes will fit so much better. Good luck to you!

It's really HONESTLY not that bad.  The first couple of days suck, but as with anything it passes.  I am just 2 1/2 weeks out from an anchor TT with lipo and mons lift, and all my incisions are clean and healed and I put on my tightest pair of jeans yesterday and there is a good 4" loose in the waist that was NEVER there before.  I can't believe I waited so many years to do this for myself.  It is so worth it!

Thank you, I cant wait. I am trying not to get too excited I am scared to set my self up for failure. I am sure you can all understand that.

The pain is tollerable and life after the excess skin is a huge gift.  It isn't that bad.  You can do it.

Best wishes,
