arm reduction after lymphectomy?

I had breast cancer 7 years ago and the lymph nodes in my left armpit were removed. I've been told not to have blood drawn from this arm or shots as it is always at risk for lymphoma. Does anyone know if this rules out having my arms reduced?

Thank you.

I had breast cancer 7 years ago too!  My own plastic surgeon has no problem with doing the brachioplasty for me - I'm relatively young at 37 and have had no issues with lympedema in that arm.  We'll just be careful.  Now, to just find the money LOL

You are right about the money. I just can't stand the thought of losing the weight but not being comfortable to go sleeveless!

bah!  I don't let it stop me from going sleeveless.  The tops of my arms are beautiful due to many hours in the gym.  If folks don't like the way my batwings swing they can just not look. LOL  I just want them trimmed up!

If you do not have lmphedema or swelling now, a conservative arm reduction should be safe.  Definitely need an experienced surgeon here who can explain the risks and treatments should prolonged swelling occur.
