Pics of Inner Thigh Incisions 1 yr. Post-Op

I would shower and use the polysporin. I would apply it and rub it in. In the very beginning my incisions would be covered with maxi pads to help protect and pad them. Once I no longer needed the pads for protection I would sit and rub the oil in for about 20 minutes per leg. It actually felt good to massage the scar. The softer you can keep it the better. That required sitting butt naked sometimes with just a sheet covering me but it was well worth the extra effort to help in fading the scar.

Great pictures and Great advice!   My left arm scar is beautiful and very thin, my right is thick in places.  I am having it revised so it's not a big deal for me right now.   Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Thank you! My arms scars get just a bit wider into my armpit but it's not too bad.  My surgeon said he sees that in a lot of patients.

I tried EVERYTHING on my scars and they still look awful!

Some people will form keloid scars, no matter what they do. Guess I'm one of them. I'm going for steroid injections now, which have helped with other scars in the past. Hope it works on these ugly PS scars.

You are right. Some people are just more prone to form the keloid scars. My husband had hernia surgery and his scar keloided. It's faded but it's raised and feels ropey.

I hope the injections help you. I know a girl that had it done and it did help her. Good luck!
