I made this delish quich thing that I modified from a recipe on Eggface's blog - that might be a better snack! Check out my version here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/ON/4257520/OMG-yum-pizza-flavoured-egg-bites/
I made this batch (24 bites) and one bite fills me up. Froze the rest. I figure I'll grab one of these each time I feel munchy. Protein to boot - and so they'll fill me up!
eggface has a TON of variations on the egg-bite if you don't like the pizza version.

Thank you!!!!!! That sounds like the perfect snack!!! I love that I can freeze them and just pop a few in the fridge each day. I forgot about Eggface. I remember looking at her sight right after my WLS. I need to get back to basics and her sight is perfect inspiration. Thanks for the reminder!! I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and trying to plan out some meals and things. I'm not the best cook but hopefully I can make your recipe and have it turn out good. I'll let you know.

It was super easy. I'm sure you can do it. Don't overcook them...300 degrees only for 30 min is perfect.
I also made a few meatloaf - lined the bread pan with tinfoil and froze them. Put them in plastic when they were frozen (uncooked). I take one out, thaw it for the afternoon and cook it. Dinner done. Meatloaf is so easy to make, and my family loves it (me too!). I sometimes make little ones of these in muffin tins and cook them. Then freeze them and have them for snacks when I'm lazy! ;0)

Don't be scared not to work out. I've been working out for many many years and there are just times due to injury, vacation, whatever that I haven't been able to do it...sometimes for a few weeks at a time and let me say that I've never "lost" anything during those times. I even believe that the body needs a break from training from time to time and I've learned over the years not to frett about it. As soon as I got back in the gym I was fine...no weight gains or anything like that. As long as you maintain a proper diet while your down you should do okay. Anyway, the body does have something called muscle memory and you get back quicker after a layoff.

Thanks Laura, I needed to hear that. I am new at this athletic stuff, only 2 years doing it. I think I am afraid if I miss a day or two that I will somehow fall of the wagon and never go back and turn into the 350 lb fat girl again. LOL I have never taken off more than 2 days in the past 2 years so who knows I could come back stronger after a forced rest. Well...once I work up to my current level again.

well for me "just being 3 weeks out since Wed." The first two weeks I was not hungry, probably combination of the restriction pain and all. Now this week I did notice my appetite was semiback, however, my PS gave strict rules to go back to Post WLS diet, high protein, no carbs, limited sugars etc. Yesterday I did Protein shakes all day, first time in a while normally I just do one in the morming. I did feel a little lunchy at 10:30 p.m. last night , so I just got me a thin slice of lunch meat and slice of cheese rolled it and ate it, down some water took my night time meds and went to bed.
I am going to try to stick with the program they outlined as much as possible, I didn't exercise much anyway before, I am just a stickler for watching what I eat. I am planning to do some exercise videos as soon as they say I can. I admire you for all the exercise you do!
I have a BFF who had WLS, and she loves to exercise, which is her saving grace, because she eats more than me, we always joke about, how my saving grace is watching my intake of food and being a scale diva!! But in my humble opiniion if I am not going to exercise like I should I have to be careful of my intake. I know we didn't change all of these things WLS, Plastics, just to go right back to presurgery Fat Girls!!
Much Success to you ! (hope i didn't ramble to much)
