Anyone regret having just panni removed not a tummy tuck?

Removal of the pannus should be covered by my health care plan but I would definitely have to pay for a full tummy tuck myself.

Just wondering if others who opted for a panni removal only regretted not getting the muscles tightened as well and if anyone opted to go go for this procedure later.

Thanks,
Mickie

Well... I had the whole shebang.  I probably could have gotten away with just the panni removal and lived with the little muffin top I would have had.

BUT - I have a nice flat stomach now.  I looked at my "before PS pics" the other day - and WOW what a difference!!  Not thrilled with the scar, but will be undergoing a scar revision.

I've heard various prices on this board for the "upgrade" to the Anchor TT.  My upgrade was $1000 - and definitely thought it was worth it.

Good luck with your decision!

Hi Mickie,

Honestly, when I had my panni done approx. 3 years ago, I truly wish that my surgeon would have given me the option to upgrade and pay the difference for the full TT that the insurance would not cover. I would have paid it! I'm SO MUCH BETTER OFF with the panni gone and it has made a tremendous difference in how my clothing fits; however, I would feel so much more confident, not to mention a better appearance in my waistline had I had the muscle tightening done. To do it now would require going back through major surgery, paying the addition with a new surgeon (first ps and I parted ways - subject of this post is example of reason why), and then going through having to pay the hospital fees again. So needless to say, unless a windfall comes along, I'll probably never be able to have a full TT or flat tummy. :( Again, I'm still so much better off with the panni gone, and I am happy with my body and how I look! :) I thank God always for my opportunity to have wls!!!

Take care and God bless,
Rose

Thank you both for your input :)  This is a big decision to make as I also have to pay to have my arms and breasts done so any feedback to help me figure this out is very much appreciated!

I just had panni done, no TT but I am glad I did that, I found any bulge above was smoothed out when they did the panni, less pain too I hear, I have next to no pain and I am 8 days out, I only find a real tightening.
