Drains Are Out!!!

Went to Dr. Lo's office yesterday and got the drains from my LBL pulled at 6 days out...yay!!!   And best of all it didn't hurt a bit.  In fact I didn't even know he was doing it cause he was talking to me the whole time.  I've still yet to take any of my Vicodin prescription so I guess I'll be tossing those when I get home.  My VSG was way worse than this, but mostly from the gas they pump into you.  It's going to be so much easier to shower without those things.  They never bothered me at all except at shower time when you had to pull them through the garment and then hang em around your neck...a pain in the ass for sure but not painful at all.  I'm definitely a happy camper.

Girls, let me tell you that I am sitting here in a hotel here in Houston right across from the GALLERIA!!!  I can see it out my window and it's driving me crazy.  I'm doing so well that I'm ready to go there right now, but Dr. Lo has other ideas, lol.  I gotta be a good girl and stay put for now : (

Never give up hope that you CAN have a good PS experience.  Sometimes all we see are the negative posts and it's can scare the bejezzus out of us...just keep doing your exercising and follow all nutritional rules.  I started pushing 125gms of protein minimum 3 months before and will continue this regiment for at least 3 more months.  And, yes I'm sick to death of protein supps, but unfortunately they are a necessity for those of us with altered tummies.

Glad to hear you got your drains out - I hope when it's my turn that I don't feel when they are removed.

Most malls have wheelchairs that you can borrow - I bet the Galleria has one. Would you be allowed to go if someone pushed you in a wheelchair?

Trust me I asked the Doc about this and he said no...not even in a wheelcahir.  They don't want you sittting at a 90 degree angle at all!  It puts too much tension on the rear incision.  But I did ask anyway.  Good to know though.  Who'd of thunk??
