I'm finally ready to start looking for a plastic surgeon and I've also just moved to the Houston area. Has anyone had a great experience with a PS that they would recommend?

Thanks so much

You do realize Dr. Lomonaco is in Houston, right?

I saw the reviews for him on this site, but he didn't come up as a provider when I searched my insurance website. But, I guess from your question, he must be the best, lol.

I live in Florida so he was not my surgeon -- but based on his participation on this board and the reviews of others, I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

You might want to look at his website -- there is a great article on getting insurance approval.  http://www.drlomonaco.com/index.shtml  Just look under patient resources.

(Oh,and Baylor has a plastic surgery resident training program that offers a reduced cost option.  There are a couple of people who post here who have used the program and have been very pleased.)

He is the best, but he is not going to be innetwork for insurance. From what i understand he is not contracted with insurance any longer.

Dr LoMonaco did my lbl and ba/bl in June. I cannot say enough about how skilled he is as a surgeon, but also how nice and caring he is as a person. After much research, I decided on him, even though he is an 8 hour round trip drive from our house. He's even written a book on bariatric plastic surgert. Even if we were in another state and had to fly in for him, I would do that.
He's going to be at the Houston OH conference on Nov. 5-6, too.

Thanks so much for the info. Do you mind me asking about the cost and how you were able to finance it? It sounds like he is extremely knowledgable about bariatric patients.

Thanks again!

I actually had Dr. Agha in Newport Beach, CA but I love Dr. Lomonaco.  I have researched him (just because I research everyone) and well as you see from previous posters...yeah he's the man for Houston!!

One more vote for Dr. LoMonaco.  I just had a LBL/BL on Tuesday so I'm not even a week out yet and I must say He did a B E A U T I F U L job on my body.  I can't say enough about him.  He's not only a gifted surgeon but a very kind person as well.  I highly recommend him.

P.S.  I know price is a concern for all of us but there are sometimes that you can't let that be the deciding factor.  He's worth every penny.
