Redo medial thigh lift

I had plastic surgery a year ago with breast reduction, abdominalplasty, and a thigh lift. I am very pleased with my new breasts and abdomen. My surgeon offers a year or "touch-ups" except for the cost of the OR. I am having my thighs redone because I am not happy with them and the incisons/scar lines have really fallen.  My first thigh lift, the incisons were all kept up in my groin. I think that I need to have the cut done my thigh to get the best outcome. Does anyone have any opinon or advise. My doctor doesn't think I need the cut down my leg, but this is the last surgery that I want to have and I want to do it right. I am not someone to wear really short shorts so the only time the scar would be visable would be when I wore a bathing suit. However right now I wear a suit with a skirt anyways becuase I don't like the look of my thighs. Thanks for the advise in advance.

Hi.  The drawback of the shorter scar (bikini-line only) thigh lifts is that they dont lift very well, and the scars can fall over time due to the loose tissues above.  The vertical technique allows better control of the leg skin overall because it corrects the true problem which is excess leg diameter. It also allows correction of excess skin closer to the knee.

The scars usually run along the inseam or inner leg, and can be hidden in most social situations.

my DR. doesnt do the grpin incision cause he says gravity will make it fall. I have the incision from knee to groin. my PS says u have to trade scar for skin.. I would rather have th scars anyday then all that flabby skin I used to have. I m proud of all my scars they dont bother me I wear them proudly LOL
