Hi everyone!

I'm 15 months out and starting to think about getting my arms done.  They are in a word - hideous.  I can hide the tummy and thighs, but not the arms.

It stinks to be a size medium on the top, but to not dare wear anything sleeveless.

What I'd like to know is:

Have you had the surgery?
Who was your surgeon?
Approximate cost?  My insurance will NOT cover this procedure...
Would you share pics?

Thanks for your help everyone!

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

I am 3 .5 years out from WLS. by Dr. Benn.  I started at 305lbs  and now  weigh 135 lbs.    I have been going to Dr. Tholen at Minneaplois Plastic Surgery  for my PS.  In  May 2009 I had my forehead, upper and lower eyes and a face lift.  April of 2010 I had LBL.  I plan to have my arms done along with a breast lift in March of 2011.  They gaven me rough estimate so I could save up.  The final price will be determined when I actually scedule the surgery.   Arms alone 6500.  Arms and breast s 12000.  This includes every thing because the surgery is done at his office.   I don't have any pictures.  Get several consults.  They are usually free in our area.  Good luck

I had dual brachioplasty with Dr. Solomon from Saint Mary's in Duluth a few months ago.  He has a great amount of experience from Mayo.   My pics are on my profile.  I was self pay for the arms and it cost me $3550 (not including the anesthesia fee).  My insurance would not cover this, but it did cover something else I was doing, so I didn't have to pay to put myself under out of pocket.  Katie.

I'm not in Minnesota, but you can look at the pics on my profile page.  Mine cost $4400.  Worth every penny.  Like you, I wanted them done first because you can't hide them.  I hope to have the rest done someday.
