I am 6 days post-op from having the fat apron removed from my stomach surgery went well and I did fine till saturday.  On saturday I started getting horrid pains in my stomach everytime I took my pain pill no matter if it was crushed or whole with or without food.  Finally went to the ER on sunday found out I have a sensitivy to percoset so they put me on liquid lortab.  I have now been on that for two days and any time I try to eat soild food it about kills me.  Has any one else with a lap band ( I am 5 years post op no issues) found that with any surgery you revert back to not being able to tolerate anything but puree or liquids?

Some pain meds upset my stomach.  For me it's vicodin and tailwain.  Until I could get a new script, I ate ginger when I took the pill.  Ginger snaps, ginger mints, pickled ginger... anything with ginger helped me.

Of course you need to check with your doctor to adjust your meds.
