I haven't because my PS said it was too much to do at once.  I will say I had a TT on 8/13 and that was enough for me to deal with.  Others have had a lot done at one time.  He said minimum 3 months apart.  However, I had a complication by getting a blood clot after surgery and on blood thinners for 6 months.

I had tt and bl at the same time.  For me the bl was not an issue, but I was in alot of pain from the tt.  I hear others that say they are not.  I was.

I am thrilled that I had it done tho!  Do not regret for a minute!!

Good luck!!!

I was off work for one week.  I was in uncomfortable for probably 2 1/2 weeks from the tt.

Part of my issue is that I had problems with the pain meds, they made me sick, they tried others, they made me sick.  Getting sick hurt.  LOLOL  So, I didn't have pain meds.

It was totally worth it tho!!!  After I had the tt, I said that I would never do it again, and that people were crazy to do it, but after a week or so, I decided I would totally do it all over again.  LOL

Good luck to you!!!  You will be thrilled!!!

My surgeon did one procedure at a time.. not sure if it was for insurance regulations  or financial purpose to bill separate.  The pain is manageable stay on top of your pain meds and walk so there are no internal problems like throwing a clot or constipation..

Best wishes on your journey

Natalie

Congratulations!  Who are you going to?

I haven't had a BR but had the TT.  Like the others said, stay on top of your pain meds.  Get some cloth to put around your waist and pin your drains to while you shower.

Hopefully you have a good support network to help you the first few days after surgery.  I definitely needed it!

I went to Dr DiNick at Barix in Ypsilanti.  They put me on liquid Loritab - it doesn't taste too bad and works very well and quick.  I'm not a pill person...

I took the pain meds religiously for the first week, then noticed I didn't need them as much after that.  Probably totally quit taking them after about day 7 or so.  I ran out, got another supply, then didn't really need them anymore.

Congratulations!  Just remember to wear your binder religiously and have some help for the first few days.
