4 weeks till LBL - help me
FWIW, since I mentioned we had similar starting and current weight stats. My PS assessed me with about 10-15 lbs of skin. It ended up being around 10. However, implants added some back. People look at me and are surprised that I weight 160, they think I look smaller.
Before surgery I was a size 10 with 2 pairs of size 8s. After surgery, I'm a size 8 with a few 10s. I have a few things too that are a size Small.
Don't get hung up on numbers - it's hard not to - but it's going to take awhile before you can start shopping for what your true size will be.

Well hello twin! I'm 5'4" LOL
Check this out: http://www.****eyed.com/photos/bodies/heightweight.shtml
It's a heigth/weight chart with pictures of people at place in their height/weight grid. When I first found it, the woman that was in my spot on the grid, looked bigger than me. I looked more like the woman 15-20 lbs less.
It's an interesting chart and really helped me put my size in perspective.

Hi-
My numbers are similar. I went in at 172 and lost 7 on the table. I'm holding steady at 165 and I just had a super TT with lateral extensions and a medial thigh lift on 8/23. I went from a 10-12 to a 6-8. I'm not that focussed on the numbers because going from a size 26 to an 8 is good enough for me! Plus, I'm 5'8", muscular and big boned. I had wanted to weigh less going in but I do not regret my timing. Here's why...I cycle a lot and rode 40 miles on Saturday (the first time since the surgery) and I was very nervous because of all of the incisions in my inner thighs. I wore padded shorts and I had no chaffing/saddle soreness because I don't have all that excess skin down there any more! Therefore, the surgery not only improved my appearance but is enhancing my ability to exercise. Plus, all my vital signs are really good so I am healthy.
You can definitely stay alone at 7 days and will be fine but my doctor said no driving for two weeks because pain reduces reaction time. I wasn't on narcotics but he said what will you do if a child or a dog runs out in front of your car. You want to be able to react. Thus, I recommend you get support for driving your son to school during the second week.
Good luck to you. I certainly understand all of your questions and anxiety but I know you'll do well!

Beth!! We are very similar! I am into biking too and in fact am leaving tomorrow to hit the Katy trail in Missouri to bike for 4 days. I am sooooo nervous about my recovery and how long it will be before I can bike. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to see that you were able to bike at 6 weeks 40 miles without any issues. That gives me so much hope.
After reading everyone's comments I am definetly sending my son on the bus to school and making sure I have a couple of people on standby in case I need a ride somewhere.
I am so pumped about your comments of the surgery helping you become a better athlete! I can see how that would do it. More than that, I hate looking down on my bike and seeing that big wad in my spandex just sitting there. ick.
Thanks for posting!!!
