I had a reduction (w/o augmentation) on May 6th.  I had lost 130, BUT after having 2 babies post op in the last 3 years, I was a H!  I was having MAJOR back problems!  I had been to the Chiropractor 15 times from Jan-May, and was on muscle relaxers to help get me by til my reduction.

I had my surgery at a surgi-suite.  My surgery was at 6 a.m, and by 10 am, I was home!  It was only a 2 hour operation and a 1 hour recovery.  I was sent home w/prescription for percocet.  I took that for about 5 days, and then went to tylenol and ibuprofen alternation.  I came home with no drains.  My dr. makes the decision about drains based on whether there is excess fluid at the time of surgery.  Like I said, I was a H before surgery, and now I am a FULL C!  Because of losing the 130 pounds, and having so much skin (long tube socks!) I had a lot of skin, but I still had enough tissue to work with, I didn't need any augmentation.

Hope this helps....I can tell you that when I awoke in recovery, my back pain was gone INSTANTLY!  I havn't had an ounce of pain since!  I never would have imagined it!  The dr. took 1 3/4 pounds from the left, and 1 1/4 pounds from the right.

I was only off of work 1 days shy of 2 weeks.  I was ready to go back after 10 days, but my dr. wanted me to wait closer to 2 weeks.  I did have lifting restriction because of the side stitches where she took off the excess skin/fat from my sides.

Hi there,
I had a breast lift/reduction and an extended arm lift in June.
did you stay overnight at the hospital?
Yes I spent two nights in the hospital because I also had an extended bracchioplasty at the same time.

what pain meds did you take?
In the hospital morphine and percocet, at home percocet

how long were drains in?
I came home with 4 drains two under the breasts and two in my arms and they were taken out four days later.
size before and after? I was 34G, mostly long, mostly skin that I had roll and fold into my bra. I am now a 34B.
Hope that helps good luck!
