First Night in My Own Bed
I can check this one off the list. I slept in my own bed last night, taking Tylenol as my nightcap.
It was more comfy than the recliner, but not as comfy as pre-surgery.
I'm a belly sleeper, and that didn't happen. I rolled from side to back to other side all night. It was a strange feeling to lay completely prostrate after being in the recliner. Very tight in the belly. Also every now and then I would get a slight burning sensation in the incision line on the hips. So I would rearrange position and it would go away.
I have been pushing the liquids during the day something fierce, which called for a get up in the middle of the night trip. This was so much better without the stinking drains! And thankfully, I was able to get back to sleep, after taking another Tylenol nightcap.
I only expect it to get better from here. I plan on taking it easy today, and tonight I am going to venture out with my hubby and kids to Bob Evans. It is our wedding anniversary. I figure if I take a pillow to sit on, Bob Evans is not busy on Tuesdays, this may be doable. "Keeping my fingers crossed"

Wow, looks like a whole bunch of VSGer's getting PS! It's good to see so many familiar avi's!
Happy Anniversary Rhonda, glad you are making progress! Thank you for sharing your PS journey. I'll be interested to see how long the restriction persists, that's something that really concerns me about a LBL! If I wear my shapewear I have super tight restriction and that I can take off!
I look forward to hearing your experience Laura, I'll be consulting with Dr. Lo in November!
