Anybody use Dr. Joseph Capella?

I went for a consult on Tuesday for a LBL, breast lift and arms.  I really liked him but was wondering if there was anyone on here that had him as their PS and what their thoughts are on him and their PS.  I am 5 yrs post op and he told me I have approximately 12 lbs of extra skin to be removed, that is not counting my arms.  I am scared ****less.  I don't like pain and that is what scares me the most as well as potential blood clots or other complications.  I live about 2 1/2 hours away from his office and that scares me too.

You might want to cross post to the PA board and ask there.   There are alot of women there that have had PS that don't visit here regularly.   I don't remember anyone specificly using Dr. Capella though I've heard he's very good; I found him during my research of area docs too.   People I know have used Dr. Lam at Barix, Dr. Kim (and assocs) in Downingtown, Dr. Chapin in Philly, Dr. Hermann at Pocono Medical (I've seen his work on several ladies including LBL and arms and it IS good), Dr. Emily Pollard off City Line Ave in Philly (I've seen a nice boob job she did).   Personally, I can't afford any of them as it's all out of pocket 4 me so I'll be heading to Dr. Sauceda in Mexico when the time comes.  He's got the cleanest and most consistent work I've seen in 2 years of looking and his practice is mostly  WLS patients so he gets lots of practice on us former fatties and it's half the cost.  You do need to have a PCP back here that doesn't have an attitude about taking out the stitches of another doc's work.   Pop in Sauceda on the search bar to go to his "group".   The ladies over there are VERY helpful.

Hi, Good question. He is near me as well and I have considered him for when the time comes but am on the fence. I know one woman locally who had great results with her tt/ lbl/brach  w/ him but looking at the augmentations on his website I am not sure.

 Agree with you totally, he did my LBL and breast life back in 09, and I plan to go have my thighs done hopefully this winter....ADORE him, in my eyes he's the best, a wonderful gentle man with such fabulous bedside manners and a caring heart....

I just had a second round of surgery (thigh lift) with him yesterday.  He did my LBL, Arms, and Breast Lift / Aug in May.  There are a few pictures on my profile.

I live 3 hours from him, he is used to dealing with out of town patients.  I also have a blood clotting disorder and he worked with my hematologist.  I cant say enough good things about my results, or him and his staff.  I am more than delighted with everything.

Hello- yes, I've had full LBL and full length leg lift and also neck lift from Dr. Capella. I can't say enough positive things about him and his practice= the price was reasonable, he specializes in WLS pts. and after having PS in Costa Rica he fixed/modified the less than stellar results from CR.  One of the things I really liked about him was his policy for revisions- w/ WLS pts. _I've lost 300 lbs. and had so much extra skin that the laxity of it required a small revision of thighs 9 months later. It was not a problem and I'm so grateful I went to him for my FINAL PS.
