What did you wear post op?

Hey girlie, how are you holding up?  Two weeks will pass before you know it and then your life will change forever!

I always wore sip up or snap up robes while I was in the house.  To go out I wore loose jogging pants.  If they are loose enough, they fit up high and aren't on your incisions, but then again they are covered by the binder so you won't feel them anyway.

Here's the joy of going to the surgical center...when I was sore and all bent over walking like someone just punched me in the gut and I wasn't exactly styling, I would call doc's nurse Kathy and she would let me in through the garage in the back, it comes in right by Dr. R's office.  There is a room right there with a bed in it so you can lie down while you wait.  It sure beat the heck out of looking like crap and having to sit and wait in the lobby with drains in ma pants!

Hang tight ;-),

Mary

With the binder on I fit into my clothes. I wore elastic waist pants and long shirts to cover the drains I had pinned to my pants. My drains were only in for one week and after that I wore all my regular clothes which were loose with the binder. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just wear something easy to get on and off. I had no trouble standing straight or bending after a few days.

That would be great to be able to wear my regular clothes afterwards.
For buttonup shirts I'm going to raid my DH's closet.
I appreciate all the advice. Thank you all!
