Has anyone ever had scar revision not been covered by Aetna with Citi.  My Plastic surgeon is going to try and get it covered because I produce alot of scar tissue that is painful.

Thanks

No, but I was curious what scar are you getting revised?  My brachio scars are wide in a few places and I'm curious if those can be revised.

Thanks, Susan!!  I assume the new incisions would be pretty close to the surface so the recovery would be easier??  Did your ps explain how that would work?

Thanks for the info.  Keep us posted about this.  I'd love to keep track of your progress.  I'm not sure when I'd have it done, but it probably won't be for a while.

I had a facial scar from my RNY (don't ask......LONG story!!). It formed a red, raised scar. The hospital sent me to a plastic surgeon who injected it with Kenalog (a steriod) and now you can barely see it!

So today I asked my TT/breast lift PS about it 'cuz my scars from that are ugly, too....and he injected a portion of my scar just to see how it would respond. If I like the results, he'll do the whole thing. He also offered to redo my scars but seeing how I am prone to forming them they may just happen again; so I'm trying the kenalog first. BTW: part of my TT/BL was also a RNY/other abdominal surgery scar revision.....go figure!!  If you're a bad scar former they are limited in what they can do to minimize it!
