More exposed stitches with raw spot

I posted a week ago or so that I had an exposed stitch coming through my BL/BA incision.  Well, now I've got several and even pulled one out of the bottom BL incision that was 4" long!!!!!!  I've been soaking in a tub to get the spot soft and massaging b/c sometimes they're still connected on inside, but the longer I leave them, the more they fester up.  Problem is, I have one that refuses to come loose inside and I see it pulling my skin from the top :/  I can't get my Dr. to call back and I'm afraid I'm going to get an infection.  I was hesitant to put Neosporin only b/c I didn't want the surface to heal and then it fester under skin.  What should I do?  Will they have to remove them all??

Hey Daisy,

I don't know how far you are from your Dr.'s office but if I were you I would go directly to his or her office and demand to see him or her.  I have some raw skin from my arm lift and breast augmentation and it turns out I have a bacteria infection along the line of MRSA.  I am now on 2 300 mg capsules three times a day for the next nine days and everything should be fine.

But I would still go directly to his or her office and demand that something be done especially for him not to call you back.

Hope this helps.

I have taken out many a stich in my recovery days.  I too had a couple that just would not release, so I pulled as much as I could and then cut it off it went back in and the openings thus closed up and haven't had a problem since.  Good luck to you darlin and I agree with the person who posted get ahold of that doctor.

I had several that poked out and went in to have my plastic surgeon take them out. I have one more that I can feel but it's not bothering me so I'm leaving it alone (3 years later).

I called my PS this morning and I'm going tomorrow afternoon.  I'm just upset that I've healed wonderfully with no issues at all (tummy tuck scar looks great) and now this.  I can see a few more spots trying to surface.  I'm on an antibiotic (unrelated to this) now so maybe that will ward off any infection?  I did have a few stitches that barely surfaced and when I massaged the area (to loosen inside), they went back in.  That's fine, but it worries me b/c the spot won't close up.  Almost as if my body will continue to fight them and not leave them alone.  Grrrr....
